Project Objectives

1. To discover how important water is to the whole Everglades picture.

2. To expand understandings of how man has encroached and environmentally threatened the Everglades by misusing and polluting water.


Project Summary

To tie in with the overall Everglades theme - show how water has been the important thread of life for the "river of Grass".

Research early Everglades with present day to show population and industrial effects.

Try to get and taped interview with M. S. Douglas to hear about early Everglades.

Make Graphs to show drought and flood years and research the effects.

Come up with possible suggestions to slow down water problems in S. Florida.
