1. Inform children of aspects of hurricanes, they may be unaware of and able to relate to.
2. Inform students of hurricane facts and allow them to interact by answering questions.
"Hurricane Andrew ABC Experiences" - For each letter I will use an "experience" or situation from Hurricane Andrew and have it link with pages from the Museum's files and produce new photo's, etc. for information gathering.
An example: A is for Andrew the name given to the first storm of the '92 season. Can you or do you know how hurricanes get their names? (Then a button will link the person to the museum's page about hurricane names.)
B is for Biscayne Bay and the destruction to plant life and sea life. (Then scan photos of a mangrove island before the storm and now when area is in a dead plant state!)
