David interned with Dr. John Barrett, Professor
of Physiology
and Biophysics at the University of Miami, whose work involves
observing neurotrophic molecules to find ways to help primary
mammalian central neurons survive and withstand environmental
stresses. He also studied mechanisms by which mammalian neuronal
(axonal) and endothelial membranes reseal after mechanical injury.
