Josue

Josue's internship took place in the University of Miami HIV Retrovirology Laboratory for Clinical and Biological Studies under the direction of Dr. Deshratn Asthana. The lab specializes in Genotypic resistance analysis of HIV and HCV gene, Cytotoxic T- Cell function in viral infections, as well as STD and complete blood count testing. During his stay, he was able to observe the Western Blot test performed on specimens. Following that, he would log the results into an electronic library, where other researchers could use the data to assist in their research projects.
