Jasmyn Gomez interned with Dr. Jeffrey P. Brosco, Ph.D, at the Debbie School in the Mailman Center for Child Development. The Mailman Center conducts numerous research studies, such as long range tracking of school performance of children with disabilities, examination of the relationship between variables such as maternal age, neonatal conditions, and later life experiences. Jasmyn’s responsibilities were to prepare toddlers for pre-school by encouraging them to interact with their peers, reading to them, teaching them how to read and count, etc. She also assisted the teachers with their daily classroom activities and curriculum.
