Saint John
|
 Saint John Fortune interned with the Miami Dade Medical Examiner’s Office under the direction of Ishmael Sharpe, Community Affairs Management of the Organ procurement Office. He assisted doctors and lab technicians in finding the cause of death of the bodies brought in, including homicides, suicides, accidental deaths, and all unknown death victims. Saint John’s responsibilities included shadowing toxicologists, collected lab specimen from the morgue and other labs, calculated and prepared chemical solutions, researched formulas for various chemical sample, observed autopsy, documented information of deceased, and organizing medical sample freezer. He learned safety procedures specific to working at the medical examiner’s office and viewed autopsies. |
