Christley

Christley Salomon interned with Dr. JoNell Efantis Potter, Director of OB/Gyn Research & Special Projects, at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Potter and her team specialize in tracking data from HIV positive expectant mothers. The primary purpose of this research is to ensure that fewer children are infected with HIV after birth, through the introduction of various treatments that help to decrease the mother's pre-birth viral load. During the summer internship program, Christley tracked patient's medical history for further analysis, pulled data from patients' medical records, prepared medical charts, assisted with some medical procedures, and observed Dr. Potter during her rounds.
