The Museum is pleased to announce an award from Miami-Dade Cultural Affairs, providing scholarships for up to 80 students to take part in our award-winning Summer Camp. Now in it’s 45th year, Summer Camp provides 8 weeks of hands-on science exploration, discovery, and just plain fun, serving kids from ag
es 4 to 14. The scholarships are aimed at providing access to camp for children who may otherwise find it difficult to attend, including children with disabilities or financial need. “We’re delighted to get this grant again, and to be able to invite more children to take part in our really fantastic Summer Camp program”, said Jennifer Santer, the Museum’s Vice President for Programs. “We know they’re going to have an unforgettable time here.” The Museum is distributing the scholarships in collaboration with several community organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Family Counseling Services of Greater Miami.
