This month, Amy Gillette, Director of Finance at Miami Science Museum, was awarded the first-ever “Leading by Example” award. The MiaSci Leading by Example award recognizes one employee per quarter who exemplifies one or more of the following: goes above and beyond the call of duty, interacts well and is hospitable with Museum guests, works extended shift hours, encourages teamwork and motivates others within the Museum, and promotes the Museum favorably. Museum employees are nominated for this award by peers for exhibiting spirit and dedication to leadership.

“Amy goes above and beyond to make sure the Museum’s managers have timely financial information,” said Roxanne Ortiz, Chief Financial Officer, Miami Science Museum. “Amy is a true team player and a dedicated finance professional.”

In addition to going above and beyond in her day-to-day duties, Amy also participates with the Holiday Party Planning committee and the Green Team.
