The Upward Bound program at the Museum is made up of lots of students who represent a wide variety of backgrounds, interests, personalities and career objectives—and as it turns out, a wide range of impressive talents. The Upward Bound Showcase was recently held at the Museum, and it was a fitting title for the event. It showcased student performances which included tap dancing, poetry reading, playing musical instruments, singing and rapping original works, as well as dance and spoken word performances. Over 75 people attended the event, including family and friends, as well as lots of Upward Bound alumni who also showed up to lend their support. Pollo Tropical donated the food for the evening, and a great time was had by all.
