The Internet offers many different things in many different ways.
You may already have access to the Internet through your work place, or an educational institution. You can also get connected from a commercial provider or get a connection for your home.
Who uses it?
Just about everybody...the Internet has millions of users.
One half of Internet users are in the United States, one fourth are from Europe and Japan, and the others are all over the world. Currently there are close to three million people or organizations connected to the Internet, which equates to between 20 and 30 million people actually using the system worldwide. These figures are currently growing at a rate of around one million new users a month.
Sooner or later, the Internet will affect nearly everyone; it's just a case of when.
