The most common way to get text into a computer is to use a keyboard, which is almost always bought with the computer. There are different, more uncommon ways of putting text into your computer. On of those ways is to scan in a document and a special program will read the scan and type it into your word processor for you. One way that is not yet available yet is voice recognition. Voice recognition, most commonly called dictation, is when you speak to your computer and it types in what you say.
