Unit Concept:
Because of the abstract qualities of air, children often have difficulty understanding its properties. Through concrete activities, children explore and experience how air is all around us, how air takes up space and how air can move things.

Lesson:
1. Going on an Air Hunt: Children will understand primary attributes of air.

2. Fat or Flat: Air Takes Space: Children will understand that air takes up space.

3. Air on the Move: Children will understand that air can move things.

4. Blowing in the Wind: Children will observe air moving.
