Hi, my name is Arielle Castillo. I'm 13 yrs. old and I will be entering the ninth grade at Coral Gables Senior High in the fall. My hobbies are agressive skating, listening to punk and ska music, acting, drawing, and going to concerts. I also play in a ska band.

I started out in the M.U.S.T. program in the summer of 1996. After completing it, I took part on "Youth Alive!" during the school year, which lead to the opportunity to continue this project during the summer.

When I heard about the "Wild Life" program, I was extremely eager to participate. Not only do I get to experience and learn about South Florida's delicate ecosystem, but I am also learning lab and research skills years in advance.

This experience has been challenging and rewarding, and in saying that, I know I speak for all my fellow participants. Activities such as a kayaking trip and searching for terrapins in Florida Bay were both fun and enriching. I look forward to continuing with the museum's programs in the future.
