Student Projects

Students at the Miami Museum of Science and Avocado Elementary School have made several in-depth studies of certain habitats in south Florida.

	In 1996, almost half of the classrooms at Avocado Elementary School collaborated to study the nearby Everglades and document their work at this site.
	Middle and high school students in the UniTY program at the Museum explored coral reefs in Florida's Biscayne Bay, the Florida Keys, and elsewhere.
	High school students in the program "When Animals Talk", again at the Museum, documented research being done by scientists in the estuarine habitat of Florida Bay.
