MiaSci Young Patrons

Miami Science Museum’s Young Patrons is a thriving group of young professionals with the mission of positioning the Museum at the forefront of cultural institutions in Miami amongst other local young professionals. The group supports educational activities such as fundraising for youth programming, serve as direct mentors to the Museum’s teen Upward Bound/Impact programs as well as help convey the Museum’s mission personally in the community, such as supporting the Museum at budget hearings, and through social media. Through a series of hosted of events, based in and out of the Museum, the Young Patrons have positioned themselves and their mission prominently in the Miami community. The centerpiece of the Young Patron Season is the annual BIG BANG, a fundraiser for the Museum and its new Museum project, the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science, scheduled to open in Downtown Miami end of 2014.
