Girls RISE (Raising Interest in Science and Engineering) Project showcases
how an informal, non-competitive learning environment that includes cooperative
hands-on activities utilizing various engineering principles can build self-esteem
and encourage girls to develop an interest in science, engineering, mathematics
related careers. This section will give a program overview of Girls RISE. |

Whether designing a craft stick bridge that can hold over a 100 pounds,
or testing an egg protection system or designing an electrical car, the
Girls of RISE have FUN. In this section different activities are presented
that can be use with the Girls RISE program. |

Where else, but in Girls RISE, can you have 48 girls of diverse backgrounds
from 11 Middle and High Schools in Dade County,
Florida learn about science, engineering, mathematics from female mentors
and teachers? In this section you can meet the Girls of RISE and their mentors. |
