ABOUT ME..........

I am in a summer program at the Miami Museum of Science. The program is called Girls RISE. This program is a lot of fun. Here we work on the computer and do several projects. I hope to be a volunteer next year at the museum. I go to Glades Middle School. It Is pretty cool. I have a lot of friends there.

ABOUT MY BEST FRIEND..........

My best friend's name is Carmen. We like to do things together, such as go to the movies and the mall. She also has her own webpage!

ABOUT WHERE I LIVE.........

I live in Miami, Florida. It is very hot here. The best part about Miami is the beach. It is very beautiful. The neigborhood that I live in is very nice because many of my friends live there.

OTHER STUFF.......

I enjoy hobbies such as: dancing, modeling, water gymnastics, swimming, and shopping. I like to shop because I have good taste in clothing. I also like to do all of these activities because it is fun to be active!

ABOUT GIRLS RISE.....

The Girls RISE Program is at the Miami Museum of Science. RISE stands for Raising Interest in Science and Engineering. In this program, we work on the computer, as well as build battery-powered cars! We are seperated into groups. My group includes Nicola, Danielle, and Kathy. We have our own web page called Alpha Zone. Our Battery-powered car works perfectly. It rides very fast. I have not yet seen our Line Tracker, because Nicola built it. I really enjoy being a part of this program.

At first we learned about putting circuits together at a school called Southside Elementary. Then as we learned more and more about circuit building, we began to build our own cars. Now we are in the process of building a frame for the car. We are probably going to make the frame from corrugated paper and other materials.
