Welcome to my Homepage. My name is Carla and I am a student at Glades Middle School. I am in the 7th grade. If I were to describe myself I'd say I have red hair and green eyes. I do not have an Irish background as some of you might think. I think lots of animal species are adorable. I have a younger brother.
I plan on learning more about photograghy, science, engineering and Marine biology. I love dolphins and hope to learn a whole lot more about them! I am very interested in meeting other students who are interested in these topics.
Over the summer I got accepted to the Girls RISE program. (Raising Interest in Science and Enginnereing. It's for girls only. (Sorry guys!) This is my first year and so far it's a blast. (Also it's only for girls going into 7th, 8th and 9th grade.) It is held at the Museum of Science Monday-Friday from 9:30 to 3:00. We do lots of stuff with the computer, (as you can see) and with circuits. We are making a car out of certain materials. It also has to be able to carry 12 oz, go up a ramp, and go a fairly long distance in a good time. Another thing we are making is a line tracker. A line tracker is like a little car, but it follows a dark line with infrared sensors. O.K. now about the computer stuff we are learning. We are learning how to make WEB PAGES!! In RISE I am learning how to make this very Web Page. So I hope you enjoy it. I just love R.I.S.E. It's great! : )
