Welcome to my homepage. My name is Kaitlin and I'm in the Girls R.SE program at the Museum of Science. R.I.S.E stands for Raising Interest in Science Engineering. It's a fun program where girls gain experience in the field of engineering, so that later in life they have a better chance of becoming an engineer.
I currently attend Southwood Middle School as an eighth grader. My favorite subjects are math and science. In my spare time I like to do gymnastics. It's a fun and interesting sport. After the summer I might get to become a team member, in the higher than what I'm in right now. I'm so excited.
I was born in Miami, Florida at South Miami Hospital. I've always lived in Miami and I don't plan on moving. That's all about where I live.
I have a very great family. My mother is nice, loving and caring. She always supports me in everything. I also have a sister who can sometimes can be annoying, but can also be nice. My father doesn't live with me, but he still visits. My grandparents also play a major role in my life. My grandfather transports me everywhere. And my grandmother always takes care of me when I am sick and my mother is at work. I love everyone in my family.
About R.I.S.E...
RISE is a program that is for girls interested engineering. In order to get into RISE I had to fill out an application. Many girls tried out, but only a few made it. This summer is not my first time in RISE Before this program, I was here for a whole year every Saturday. I've done projects related to: Bridge Building, Building structures out of straws, line trackers, and electric cars. Girls RISE is a fun and interesting program that all girls have an opprotunity to be in.
See Ya Later!!!
