Welcome to my Homepage. My name is Lauren and I am a student at Norland Middle School. I am in the 8th grade. My favorite subjects are math, science, and music. My interests are swimming, basketball, and tennis. My family consits of my Mom, Dad, three sisters, two brothers, and a dog. They are brats!!! Well, enough about. Relax and read about how I got in to Girls RISE
I got into Girls' RISE (Raising Interest in Science and Engineering) because my mom found an article in the newspaper about a program just for girls at the Miami Museum of Science. The progam had to do with engineering and computers. My mom called the museum and requested an application be mailed to our home. The rest is history.
I give all the thanks to my mom for stimulating my interest in Girls RISE because she is the one who read about the program in the newspaper and who pushed me to to write the two essays until 3 o'clock in the morning even though I had to go to school the next morning. I hate to admit it but what she did paid off.
