Welcome to my Homepage. My name is Tania and I am a student at Hammocks Middle School. I am in the 7th grade.
I am 12 years old and attend a program called RISE. This stands for: Raising
Interest in Science and Engineering. We work in a computer lab at a school called Southside Elementary. In the computer lab there is a constant "click-click" of the student's typing, and the "chat-chat" of the student's conversations. Here is where we learned how to do: graphics, web sites, and e-mailing. At the school we were taught about circuits and wiring. All these skills we applied in our final projects: the line tracker and the electric car.
The RISE program gives girls an opportunity to learn more about the world of engineering. Not a significant amount of females are involved in the engineering field. Wendie James is the project director.

I like to work and use computers. I love to surf the web and e-mail people in other places. My hobbies are: playing any sport, writing, reading, solving problems (math, geography, any kind...), and eating. I look forward to being some type of engineer; one who works or deals with computers.
I have two sisters. Their names are Diana and Jessica. They are 14 and 7. My mother and father's name are Melida and Abel. Let's not discuss their ages. We use to have over ten parakeets and one cockatoo over different periods of time. At the moment we also own a small turtle. Our family is very close and loving.
It is very hot in Miami, Florida.
