• The most common answer was doing hands-on lab experiments

• The most common answer was writing up the lab reports, science reports and textbook work.
• Boring lectures
• "Dangerous" chemistry experiments: this girl felt uncomfortable and a little scared when working with acids and boiling chemicals.
• Several girls stated there was nothing that they did not like about science.

10. What are you learning in math this year?

• Math puzzles and tangrams

• One student said that it was "easy because everything is so logical

• Teachers that go too fast and are unfairly strict
• The tests and quizzes
• Long equations (5 step equations) and word problems
• Finding area and perimeter

• Memorizing the formulas, axioms and vocabulary words

• Builds and constructs different types of things
• Works with computers, sound equipment, lasers, trains, cars, machines, electricity
• Designs structures like bridges, buildings

• One student said "I think it deals with math and science and it goes through the scientific method to go find out their results."

• The most common answer was parents or relatives.

• "Learn how to put things together so that they work."
• Different types of careers in science, computers and engineering.

17. Draw a picture of a scientist or engineer.

• 10 girls drew pictures of female scientists and engineers , one was a "mad scientist" and another was a clumsy girl scientist.
• 2 girls drew pictures of Albert Einstein
• 8 girls drew males in the roles of scientist and engineering and only one picture of "crazy" scientists.
