Hello! Our names are Nicola, Danielle, Ana, and Katherine.

We are the members of the team called Alpha.

Our mission: to make the fastest miniature electric car and the most accurate line tracker.

We will be competing against three other teams. All of the teams, including ours, are participating in Girls R.I.S.E. at the Museum of Science.

About Girls R.I.S.E.

RISE is an acronym for Raising Interest in Science and Engineering. All the girls in Alpha, Beta, Delta, and Psi (the different team names) attend this program. This summer we will be making an electical car and a line tracker, both for competion. At R.I.S.E, our class has learned several basic principles, laws and information on science and especially engineering. We also advance our computer skills a lot by making web pages (like this one!!), creating graphics, and collecting data from the Internet. "By participating in R.I.S.E., we have uncovered and discovered many new and exciting things. We also get a really good feel of an engineer's job."

This is one of the many programs at Miami Museum of Science.
