is a bacteria found in the intestines of some cattle. Eating
meat, especially ground beef, that has not been cooked sufficiently
to kill E. coli is the main source of infection. It often causes
severe bloody diarrhea and abdominal cramps and can lead to life-threatening
conditions in very young and elderly people. |
