Location:
This program is headquartered at Miami Springs Middle School with smaller programs offered at Lorah Park, South Hialeah, and Hialeah elementary.
Dates:
The 2002-2003 Miami Springs Middle School program "Project Effort" will start September 03, 2002.
Eligibility:
All students (kindergarten-8th grade) currently enrolled in Dade County Public Schools schools are eligible to enroll. Private school students and home schooled students are also welcome.
Transportation:
For those children who ride M-DCPS busses, a bus will be available to take them home at 5:00 p.m. Students will be delivered to their original pick/up point after "Project Effort". Students who do not ride M-DCPS busses must arrange for pickup from school.
Behavior:
Project Effort is provided in a safe, orderly learning environment for all students. Any student in violation of the district discipline policies will be dismissed from the program.
Cost of Program:
There will be NO fees for this after school program. The 21st Century grant "Project Effort" will be fully funded by a grant from the U.S. government. We in the Miami Springs Community want all of our children to have access to this program. Early enrollment is essential to provide adequate staffing and to insure students a place in the after school program 'Project Effort". Class sizes are limited.
