Distribution: Northeastern India, east through
China and south through the Malay Peninsula and East Indies except
the Philippines.
Size: 13 -18 ft. (4 - 6 m), may reach a maximum
of more than 25 ft. (8 m) long.
Habitat and Diet: They are adaptable to a
wide variety of habitats such as grasslands, swamps, marshes,
rocky foothills, woodlands, jungle and river valleys. They prey
upon mammals, birds and reptiles of appropriate size. This albino
specimen simply lacks the skin pigment of its more colorful relatives
who usually have a pattern of large, reddish brown blotches outlined
in cream or gold and overlaying a ground color of pale tan, yellowish-brown
or gray.
