Abstract: 

The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) requires accredited Colleges to document the development of portfolios by certification students and for preservice teachers to show the use of technology in the preparation of professional materials. The module Creating a Professional Portfolio Using PowerPoint was replicated to all Jacksonville State University (Alabama) students teachers in Friday afternoon workshops for the purpose of having all active student teachers complete the development of professional portfolios using PowerPoint for upcoming interview and job application purposes. Searching the Web modules were also replicated in teacher certification coursework to give extended instruction on completing effective web searches for teacher classroom instruction.
