Red Sea Squirt (Cnemidocarpa finmarkiensis)

Description:

This brilliantly coloured squirt is found in the high tidal zone exposed to wind, wave, and sun. Approximately 2.5 cm in height, the crater-like siphons will close to form a small cross when disturbed, but is otherwise quite round.
