Project WebSIGHT is based on Reciprocal Teaching, a research-based process through which students can raise their reading comprehension proficiency by using the strategies that good readers use most often. Reciprocal Teaching can be used to help students understand their on-grade-level texts. Project WebSIGHT is a joint project of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools, the University of Miami, and the Florida Department of Education. This project is designed as the first teacher education course which incorporates the use of video, the Internet, and classroom practice to help teachers implement best teaching practices into their classrooms. |
