"Walk on the Sun" at Miami Science Museum!

Miami Science Museum presents "Walk on the Sun," a new interactive, musical exhibit that features real images of the sun and space - captured by the solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory (STEREO) Space Mission - and translates the image pixel value into musical pitches played by various instruments. The exhibit allows people who are visually impaired to perceive the colors, textures and brightness in the images. The pixel color determines the instrument and the brightness determines the pitch that is generated in real time as you move over the images with your body. The exhibit is designed and presented by Marty Quinn of Design Rhythmics Sonification Research Lab, in collaboration with UC Berkeley's Space Science Lab, NASA, and the Christa McAuliffe Planetarium. Thursday, December 4th thru Sunday, December 7th. General Museum admission applies.
