Live Science Theater Shows
From the shows below, choose your private, interactive science presentation presented by our resident actor in the Theater just for your group.
Fee: $75.00 In addition to cost of Bash Party.
A-ha! Science: See the light bulbs turn on as young scientist-partygoers participate in a hands-on show answering questions for the curious. Why doesn’t a plane have to flap its wings to fly? How do you build a robot? How does a squid squirt its way to safety? Ideal for party guests 6 years and younger.
Dinosaurs: Fact, Fiction & Fossils: Take a cold-blooded look at what we know about dinosaurs...the speculation, the sensationalism and the science. Meet living animals, hear stories of discovery and examine fossil casts that help support or disprove the theory that dinosaur relatives walk and fly among us still. A great show for all ages!
The Shocking Science Show: Witness the awesome power of electricity in this energizing show, guaranteed to be a "hair-raising" experience! Great for big groups. Best for ages 7 years and older.
For Party Animals!
Fee: $150 (in addition to cost of Bash Party).
Add the Wild Side to Your Party!
Our entertaining, educational Wildlife staff, accompanied by reptiles, amphibians and/or birds-of-prey, will add to the fun at your Museum party! In addition to the Birthday Party Bash activities, the Wildlife program includes:
- A one-hour, hands-on Wildlife Encounter for your group.
- Interaction with our animal-residents, including lizards, snakes, tortoises, alligators, frogs oh my!
- An Adopt-A-Screech Owl Gift for the birthday child, including adoption of a screech owl, good for one year.
These parties provide great picture-taking opportunities—don’t forget your camera!
Wildlife At Your Place
We’ll go to your party location with our Wildlife Party including majestic birds of prey. Fee: $250.

Set Up 9:30-10:00 am
Party Room: 10:00 am-1:00 pm
Afternoon Party
Set Up 2:00-2:30 pm
PartyRoom: 2:30 - 5:30 pm
Food & Decorations
Party hosts bring and arrange their own food and decorations. We are happy to provide suggestions of caterers if desired.
Please, no glitter or confetti of any kind may be used for decorations. A $50.00 fee will be added for any additional clean up caused by confetti or glitter.
Pinata’s need to be ribbon pull only and filled with candy and/or toys only. Due to difficult clean up, no confetti or glitter of any kind is allowed. No stick hitting is allowed.
Invitations Complimentary colorful invitations for party guests are available from the Museum.
Party Favors
The Museum Store has a wide selection of educational, fun gifts that make ideal party favors for guests. The Store can also prepare Party Favor Grab Bags starting at $3 and up. Arrangements can be made upon booking, or by contacting the Museum Store directly at (305) 646-4235.
Room Set Up
The Museum will supply eight-foot tables and chairs as requested.
Deposit
A 50% deposit is required at the time the party reservation is made to secure party space. The balance must be paid on the day of the party along with fees for any additional guests. The Museum accepts cash, checks and credit card payments.
Cancellation
Cancellations received more than three days prior to the reserved date will receive a refund of any deposit paid minus a $20 administrative fee. No deposits will be refunded for cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to the party.
