THE NEW PATRICIA AND PHILLIP FROST MUSEUM OF SCIENCE SLATED TO BREAK GROUND IN 2011
Renowned London--based firm Grimshaw Architects has completed a phenomenal concept design of the new 250,000 square-foot, highly sustainable, LEED-certified structure featuring a revolutionary three-story aquarium, a rooftop Wildlife Center with hanging gardens and wildlife, a 3-D multimedia Planetarium dome that changes colors by night, and an observatory and VIP Lounge with exceptional views offering an optimal entertainment venue visible by night and day from car, ship, plane and park. With park remediation slated to conclude in fall 2010, Project Construction Managers, Boston-based Suffolk Construction and San Francisco-based Webcor Builders, will break ground in 2011.
