What is Give Miami Day?
Give Miami Day is a unique, online giving event that allows individuals in our community an opportunity to build a greater Miami by making a charitable gift to a local nonprofit. This 24-hour donation period will begin at 12:00 midnight on December 12, 2012 and end at 12:00 midnight on December 13, 2012. All gifts will be processed through GiveMiamiDay.org. The Miami Foundation and its partners have committed an initial monetary pool as incentive dollars to match contributions received during Give Miami Day.
How does it work?
Donations
Any individual or corporation/business may donate.
All donations must be made via debit or credit card at GiveMiamiDay.org. No gifts from checks, cash, securities or recommendations from donor advised funds will be accepted for this giving event.
All donations are tax deductible and irrevocable (donations will not be refunded) and will be for the unrestricted use of your selected charity. Please note that Give Miami Day is a program of The Miami Foundation. Therefore, your account statement will read: The Miami Foundation.

Early Bird Gets the Worm –12 midnight – 1:00 a.m.
$1,000 to the organization that receives the most unique donations during this time period
Good Morning, Sunshine – 6:57 a.m. (estimated)
$1,000 to the organization that receives the donation made closest to the official sunrise time
Lunch Time Special – 12 noon – 2:00 p.m.
Rush Hour Fast Track – 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
$1,500 to the organization that receives the most unique donations during this time period
Primetime Prize – 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
$1,000 to the organization that receives the most unique donations during this time period
Procrastinator’s Prize – 11:00 p.m. – October 13 12:00 midnight
$1,000 to the organization that receives the most unique donations during this time period
