This comedy is the sequel to 1989's smash hit "Major League." The film opens as the Cleveland Indians are preparing for a new winning season. Unfortunately, the off-season has left them ill-prepared to play baseball. Rick "Wild Thing" Vaughn has become a mainstream huckster for expensive items. Jake Taylor, after suffering repeated knee injuries becomes a coach, and Roger Dorn has left playing to become the club new owner buying it from Rachel Phelps. Will Mays Hayes just completed an action film, and Pedro Cerrano has given up voodoo in favor of Buddhism. The point of the story is that the players have lost touch with their true natures. The film chronicles the moment each of them realizes their self-deception so that by the film's end they are able to recapture their mad-cap natures and their former glory.
