Uses of the Tiger
Tiger poachers kill
tigers for various reasons. They just don't kill tigers just to kill tigers
(actually, I guess that some poachers do). One of the main reasons are,
since it is a fact that tigers have excellent night vision tiger eyes are
believed to be able to be used to improve your vision(This belief is held
both by the followers of scientific as well as supernatural ideas). Also,
in the Chinese culture, it is believed that tiger whiskers improve toothaches,
that tiger penises make real tigers out of men, and that tiger bone,which
is the most valuable part of the tiger, is used to cure joint pain, stiffness,
back pains, rheumatism, and muscle spasms.
Tigers can
also be used for ancient Chinese medicine. The part of the tiger that is
used for medicine most, is tiger bone. However, before the tiger bone becomes
medicine, it is cleaned, toasted in oil or vinegar, and then ground into
powder. The powder is made into pills or plaster or soaked in wine.
