There are many ways that HIV can be spread. Over time, people have come up with alot of MYTHS about the transmission of the HIV virus.

HIV is NOT spread in the these ways:

  • Hugging / Handshake


  • Insect Bite


  • Swimming pool / sauna


  • Kissing (closed-mouth)


  • Shared utensils


  • Mutual Masturbation


  • Food Handling / Preparation


  • Spitting


  • Over 500,000 people in the United States have been diagnosed with AIDS, and more than 300,000 have died. AIDS has become the highest killer of Americans between the ages of 25 and 44. Worldwide about 20 million have been infected with HIV.

    People infected with the HIV virus are our friends, family members, co-workers, and neighbors. They live all across the country and the world. Everyone needs to learn about the HIV virus and teach others how to prevent the transmission and also help those infected to survive the disease.
