Purpose
To show the kids the different patterns that forms when sand is affected by water.
Materials

22 X 30 size container

Sand

Water

A regular size paper or plastic cup

 

Procedure
1. Put two cups of sand into one side of the container.

2. Then put one and a half cups of water onto the other side of the container. (It's O.K. if the water wets the sand.)

3. Next, tilt the container from the side that has water in it towards the side that has the sand.
